How to move audio off an iPhone / iPad onto a Computer

Audio files are too big to email, so you'll need to know how to get your recordings off your iPhone or iPod
and onto your computer so you can upload them to the Upload Files page of our website.
To do this, you'll need to Sync your iPhone to your computer. Detailed instructions for moving files to
both a PC and a Mac are shown below.
Note: Voice Memos is the default recorder on an iPhone on IOS6 (the most current version of the
iPhone software as at Oct 2, 2012.)
To move your audio off your iPhone / iPod and onto your computer:

    • Plug the iPhone into your computer
    • Select iPhone under Devices in iTunes
    • Go to the Music tab
    • Tick the box to the left of Sync Music
    • Tick include Voice Memos
    • Then hit Sync button in bottom right-hand corner of your screen
    • In iTunes select Music in Library menu
    • In the Search Bar type Voice Memo (or name of recording, if named)
    • Select the voice memo then right click Show in Finder (on a Mac) or right click Show in Windows
Explorer (on a PC, with iTunes v10) to see where it is on your computer
    • Right click on the file and choose Copy to copy it to a location you can easily find on your computer
      (e.g. Desktop)
    • Go to the Upload Files page of our website and use the form at the bottom of the page to upload the
files for us. As noted above, audio files are too big to email.
